The Brass Rail
Quiet, and stronger than it looks.
An old fashioned built on rye, with Low Lamp doing the work of the sugar cube. Brown sugar and rye spice were always going to get along.
How to make it
Serves 1
| Rye whiskey | 2 oz |
| Low Lamp · Brown Sugar Syrup | ¼ oz1 pumps |
| Aromatic bitters | 2 dashes |
| Lemon peel | 1 wide strip |
Method
- Add rye, Low Lamp and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir for 30 seconds.
- Strain over one large cube in a rocks glass.
- Express the lemon peel over the top and drop it in.
